Easy Palada Pradhaman

In this busy world, making the dish in a traditional way is quiet tough. So here goes my easy recipe for palada pradhaman.

Ingredients:
  • Milk – 2 litres
  • Palada – 1 pack (200gm – Ready made ada available in all groceries)
  • Sugar – 4 cups
  • Chironji Seeds – 10 gm
  • Cashew & dried grapes – a few
  • Ghee – 1 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder – ½ tbsp

Method:

  1. Wash the readymade ada in hot water and then in cold water and drain.
  2. In a cooker or heavy bottomed vessel, cook the ada in milk for about 20 mins. The ada will be cooked completely. If you add sugar the ada will not be cooked completely.Add the sugar now and cook for about 20 mins in a low flame.
  3. Boil until the colour changes to pale pink.
  4. Now in a small frying pan, add ghee and fry the chironji seeds, cashew & dried grapes and add it to the ada pradhaman.
  5. Add cardamom powder to it and the tasty palada pradhaman is ready to serve.


Tip: The perfect consistency for this payasam will be that if  the payasam drop is dropped on a surface it would stay there without running watery
