Cabbage Vada

Bengal Gram dhal - 1 cup
Chopped cabbage - 1 cup
Chopped onion - 1/2 cup
Fennel Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp.
Green chillies - 3
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Salt - as per taste
Oil - for frying
  • Soak Bengal gram in water for half an hour.
  • Chop green chillies and curry leaves.
  • Grind the soaked dhal coarsely.Some 4 to 5 pulse would be better.
  • Take out the mixture and add the cabbage, onion, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, green chillies, curry leaves and mix well.
  • Heat oil .Make out small balls from the mixture and flatten it using your hand.
  • Drop them into the oil and turn it on both sides and cook till golden brown.
Best to have in evening and in this rainy season. Childrens will enjoy eating.
