Ragi Balls / Kali

Ingredients :

Cooked rice - 1/2 cup
Ragi flour- 1 cup
Water - 2 cups
Salt to taste
  1. Boil the water in a large pot type vessel. Now add salt and ragi flour as a heap and cover it with a lid. Keep the flame low other it will spill out.
  2. Allow it to cook for another 5 minutes. Now using a wooden ladle stir continuously and vigorously, without letting any lumps to form. Now the lid for another 2 minutes and again stir once or twice. The consistency will be like chappati dough but this will be very soft.
  3. Turn off the stove. dip your hand in water and take out small portion of the cooked dough to make balls.
  4. Serve it hot with Keerai Kuzhambu / gravy.
